AI customs declaration software for brokers
Athren reads the shipment email with the invoice, the packing list and the bill of lading, fills in the declaration from them and proposes a commodity code where the invoice is clear. Your declarant checks what is open and files the declaration in your own customs software; Athren files nothing.
What Athren prepares
The same five steps as the film, from the shipment email to the filed declaration.
- 1
The shipment email arrives.
With the invoice, the packing list and the bill of lading.
- 2
Athren fills in the declaration.
Every value comes from a document.
- 3
It proposes the code.
8 of 11 digits, marked as a proposal.
- 4
It asks what the invoice does not say.
Porcelain or other ceramic? The supplier usually knows.
- 5
You file the declaration.
Athren files nothing. Press Release, download it and file it in your customs system.
What Athren does not do
- It files nothing. Your declarant presses Release, downloads the declaration and files it, as they do today.
- It connects to nothing. Not to your customs software and not to customs. Whichever software you file in stays as it is.
- It decides no code. A proposed code stays a proposal until your declarant decides.
- Your declarant does. They check what is open, ask the questions Athren has written and decide every code.
Who it is for

Questions and answers
- What does the software do?
- It prepares customs cases. Athren reads the shipment email with the invoice, the packing list and the bill of lading, fills in the declaration from them, proposes a commodity code where the invoice is clear and asks where it is not. Your declarant checks what is open and files it.
- Does Athren file the declaration?
- No. Athren files nothing and sends nothing on its own. Your declarant presses Release, downloads the declaration and files it in your customs software, as they do today.
- Which customs software does it work with?
- Whichever software you file in. Athren does not connect to it or replace it: your declarant downloads the prepared declaration and files it in the customs software they already use.
- How does Athren propose a code?
- From the invoice line. Where the description is clear, Athren proposes a commodity code to the depth the documents support, marked as a proposal and with the line it was read from. It stays a proposal until your declarant decides.
- What happens with an unclear invoice line?
- Athren leaves that line’s code open and writes the question the tariff asks, such as porcelain or other ceramic, with the invoice line outlined and who usually knows the answer. Your declarant asks, and enters the answer in the case.
