Two AI tools: classification and declaration

The short version

traide is an AI platform from Berlin for customs master data: it assigns tariff numbers and customs goods descriptions to the articles of a company. Athren

  • Athren reads the shipment email with the invoice, the packing list and the bill of lading, fills in the import declaration from them, header and every line, and proposes a commodity code where the invoice is clear.
  • The unit is the customs case, one shipment; not the article and not the catalogue. Athren keeps no master data.
  • Where the invoice is not enough, Athren writes the question the tariff asks, with the invoice line outlined. Your declarant decides every code and files the declaration in the customs software they already use; Athren files nothing.
  • For customs brokers in Germany and the Netherlands. Athren publishes no price.

When traide is the better fit

When Athren is the better fit

  • When your day is shipments, not catalogues: the invoice, the packing list, the bill of lading, and from them the whole import declaration.
  • When you need the code from the invoice line, not from a material master, and would rather see the open question as a question than as a confidence score.
  • When nothing should be connected: your declarant downloads the declaration and files it in the customs software they already use.
